Acupuncture ….. a treatment that has been practised for thousands of years and is now recognised and widely used in the modern world
I have a nursing / management background and was first introduced to Acupuncture following a car accident in which I sustained a spinal fracture, shoulder injury and multiple soft tissue injuries. The road to recovery – both physically and emotionally – was lengthy!
I went on to study at the Northern College of Acupuncture, gaining through them knowledge, experience and qualifications in Acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, Acupressure, bodywork / massage. And later becoming a tutor and regional tutor for the college.
I am a member of the Advanced Fertility Support Practitioner Group having undergone advanced training in complex disease in fertility, pregnancy, PCOS, endometriosis, immunological issues and recurrent miscarriage.
I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), Associate member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS). I’m also a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network (a group of Registered Acupuncturists providing treatment for fertility and pregnancy, pre-birth and post-natal care) and The British Fertility Society. I have close links with and a founding member of Zita West’s Network for Reproductive Health.
I have established Practices at CARE Fertility in Nottingham and Nottingham Road Clinic in Mansfield.
The knowledge and experience above has been further enhanced, facilitated and consolidated by working alongside a leading Fertility Consultant, for a number of years, at the CARE Fertility Satellite Clinic in Mansfield.
